Before kickoff in Foxborough, everyone was talking about the Houston Texans’ defense. Ten straight wins. Elite pass rush. Two lockdown corners. But Kayshon Boutte wasn’t impressed.
When asked about facing Derek Stingley Jr. and Kamari Lassiter, Boutte didn’t hesitate:
“They’re physical. But I’m physical too. That’s a matchup I like every day of the week.”

And on Sunday night, he backed it up.
Early in the fourth quarter, third-and-four, ball at the Texans’ 32. Drake Maye lofts a pass down the right sideline in the cold, snowy New England air. The throw looks just out of reach. Then Boutte dives… stretches one arm… and snatches the ball with one hand for a touchdown.
Replay confirms it. Touchdown stands. Foxborough explodes. Patriots take control at 28–16.
Maye summed it up perfectly after the game:
“He just keeps making plays and making me look good. One-handed catch… there’s not much else to say.”
Trash talk? Backed up. Moment? Delivered. And now, the New England Patriots are headed to Denver for the AFC Championship — with Boutte proving he’s not afraid of anyone.
